When you are unsure about the right course of action for your recovery, you can get a second opinion from a health professional to help you better understand your diagnosis and determine the most appropriate treatment plan.
If you are facing a complex medical issue or difficult treatment plan, having a second opinion can provide you with valuable advice, confidence and peace of mind, helping you make the most informed decision.
Your doctor, family members or carers are all able to ask for a second opinion about your health as long as they have your consent and all the information about your current condition, diagnosis, medication and treatment plan.
These will all need to be digitalised and uploaded on to our heart health portal at www.hearthealth.org.uk by setting up an account.
The report will be produced within 7 days of receiving all the medical information and records and once payment has been made.
You can decide the medium through you want to receive your report i.e. by email, post or face-to-face consultation.
The cost depends on the type of condition, analysis and investigations required
